Nutmeg's runny nose has come back, a whole three weeks after it seemed to have cleared up back on 26th December. As before she is showing no other signs of ill health except that there seems to be more 'runny' stuff coming out of her nose which is making it more blocked and so making her breathing a little noisy. We are going to try another round of the antibiotic and see what happens. If she is not better in a week or two, we will have to take her to the vet. Nutmeg is due to kid sometime around 20 February and that is now VERY close!!
She is still the smallest of all six of our pregnant females - we do think she is pregnant but maybe there is only one kid or it is very small. It can actually be very difficult to tell from just the size of the goat, especially pygmy goats, who are usually quite 'round' anyway.
Sage and Parsley are both the size of houses - HUGE!!!! We are a little anxious about them as last year, after perfect births the previous two years, each lost a kid, Sage had one die inside her and Parsley lost one the first night!!! There is NO reason to think this may happen again to either of them but we will still be a little anxious and so keeping our fingers crossed!!!
