Dr Willie Black: Web Engineer
With a degree in Mathematics & Astronomy and a PhD in the calculation of orbits, Willie has been
making computers work for him (and others) since 1967, supporting image analysis, device control,
operating systems, networking software and much more.
He then moved on to management roles and international committee work (much of which led to the development of the Internet in the mid-1990s). He spent some years being in charge of JANET, the UK Academic Network, and then for nine years as founder and first Managing Director of Nominet UK, the Internet Domain Name registry for .uk.
Since 2005, he has applied his management experience to support small businesses and charities, and has proposed and implemented IT solutions for them: from basic website design and coding, to complex web applications such as online calendars/diaries, booking systems and online selling.
He has been working closely with David and Jack to implement the design and control structures of the Relaxed Farming website, which he finds an exciting and forward-looking development.

Relaxed Real Foods (also operating under Relaxed ) is the name of the smallholding upon which Relaxed Farming is based.
