Relaxed FarmingOur offspring... (as told by Mrs Brown). People really do love lambs don't they? Badger Face sheep lamb really easily and we are lovely mums (well apart from the fact we let our 'children' end up on your dinner plate!!!).

  • Welcome to the world: it's painful giving birth but unlike the goats we keep pretty quiet and if all goes well we mostly give birth to twins and so begins the process of licking them dry and getting them to take their first milk, that all important colostrum.

Colostrum is rich in energy, protein, vitamins and minerals to protect the lambs against nasty bacteria and diseases and it also gives them lots of energy to keep them warm and help them grow. If newborn lambs (and kids) don't have it they might die!
