Relaxed FarmingWhy keep sheep... (as answered by Mrs White). Sheep and smallholdings go together like... chips and tomato ketchup, kids and their mobile phones, lamb and mint sauce (whoops, should I have said that?). And why? Smallholdings have grass and we LOVE grass.

  • Grass is good for us: and we are good for the grass. We really are quite happy to sit and munch grass all day, every day! This is perfect for two reasons: one because it means no-one has to spend time mowing and two because our poo and wee puts back a lot of the nutrients that grass needs to grow. In other words, we fertilise the land as we go!!

We do like a bit of a change and it is also good to let the grass rest from time to time so our 'two' fields or paddocks are fab so we can alternate between one and the other.
