Day Two: 11th February: There was certainly a lot more activity today amongst our ten ducklings. Pear really encouraged them to start eating and drinking and, as the video shows, after a shaky start they really got the hang of it. They also had huge fun pecking at the straw, at each other and at one stage even at mum!!! The next few days are now going to be spent doing a lot more eating and drinking and really 'finding their feet' as they explore the aviary and get a lot less wobbly on their legs! Oh, and they will sleep a lot still too - snuggled together under mum and scrapping for the 'best' place!!! |
