Relaxed FarmingHow to look after us... (as answered by Gorge). Yes I am the pretty one but I don't show off about it... We really are not that difficult to look after. We don't make too many demands and we are NOWHERE near as daft as sheep...

  • Food glorious food!!!: we enjoy eating grass, nibbling at any overhanging branches and must always have hay. As Pickle explained under Fascinating Facts we are ruminants with four stomachs and so we always need some food inside us to keep our 'rumen' (name for one of the stomachs) working.

    We LOVE hay and particularly love pulling out as much as we can in one go from our hayracks. Often our owners put tops on the racks to stop us doing this... very unfair. They tell us it is wasteful because we don't eat it from the floor (we do sometimes)!!

    We also love the food we get from our owners: it is a bit like a sticky muesli and to be honest if we see the bucket with it in we can 'mob' our owners as we are so keen to eat it. My mum is terrible at 'mobbing' and Pickle can be too. I of course always wait patiently until it is put in my feeding bucket!!!

    We need fresh water all the time: a bit like you really and especially when it is hot!!!
