Goats? Escape artists? No: goats have a bit of a reputation for being escape artists and far too inquisitive... I can honestly say none of us have ever escaped from the smallholding here. I think it would be a bit scary actually!!

Pickle has been known to leap as high as one metre but she was desperate to get to a boyfried at the time (little madam!).

Most people use fencing that is just 1.25 metres high and that really is fine to keep us happy and contained. We do love to rub ourselves along it so it is important to make it as tight as possible.

Our kids can be quite clever at squeezing underneath mind you but they never go far!

As long as you don't put something we can climb onto too near the fence, we should stay in, especially if we have all we need inside our paddock: room for a run, our shelter, hay and water. I mean, why would we want to escape?
