  • It all begins with the billy goat: Read more

  • Our gestation period is around five months: Read more

  • A day or so before we give birth we start to prepare: we wander around looking a bit lost but actually we are choosing the place to 'nest', our udder becomes full to bursting point and the muscles in our back end become a bit slack and relaxed so that the kids can come out more easily.

When I was pregnant with my first kids I had NO idea how much it was going to hurt. It has to be said we don't 'do' pain and so yes, pretty much every time a goat gives birth the air is filled with their screaming (and if we knew how to swear in human words, we would probably swear a lot too..).

  • But it is SOOOO worth it: Read more

  • It is very normal and usual to have two kids at once: Read more

  • Unbelievably our kids can be up and about within HALF an hour: Read more

  • The first few days are all quiet and calm: Read more

Me, definitley NOT at all with it...
