Relaxed FarmingFascinating facts... (as explored by Pickle). That's me immediately to the right, munching away on willow after which I usually have a bit of a nap.. and here's your first fact: we sleep for just five hours a day, a lot less than you humans so I believe...

  • Male and female goats can have beards, wattles (those dangly bits under the chin), and horns. (I broke one of my horns when I was a kid, it bled like mad and hurt, a lot!! It grew again but with a 'knobbly' end - as the photo shows!)

    We have short tails that point upwards and our pupils are slit/oblong shaped. This means we can see sideways as well as in front of us - it is difficult sneak up on a goat!!!

    Our feet are 'cloven' which means we have 'two' toes: this is the same for cattle, pig, sheep and deer.
