Relaxed FarmingWhy keep sheep... (as answered by Mrs White). Sheep and smallholdings go together like... chips and tomato ketchup, kids and their mobile phones, lamb and mint sauce (whoops, should I have said that?). And why? Smallholdings have grass and we LOVE grass.

  • Every year we produce a fabulous woolly fleece: we need our fleece in the winter but in the summer you are welcome to it and it is such a relief when we get sheared and are cool again.

Our fleeces can get made into wool which you then turn into loads of different things such as socks, jumpers, hats, coats, blankets, carpets, even nappies.

When our lambs go off for meat their whole skin is then used to make beautiful rugs for your floors and furniture. A sheepskin rug in a pram will keep human babies beautifully warm...
