Relaxed FarmingWhy keep goats... (as answered by Curds). We make great smallholding animals and in years gone by most people who had a bit of land would keep a goat or two. Why? Because we provide far more than most other farm animals...

  • We are intelligent, affectionate, inquisitive and playful: we learn our names and routines and as long as you bribe us with a bit of food, we will happily jump up on the milking bench and take it in turns to be milked.

We love affection and will happily nibble your hair and put our noses in your pockets (which you seem to find funny)!

We are very inquisitive and like to know what is going on all the time and so are VERY easy to tame. We are also very playful: do you like my impression of a bucking rodeo bull???

We are also great with visitors and children and anyone carrying carrots or greens is our friend and we will make them feel really welcome.

Me playing at being a bucking Rodeo..
