Relaxed Farming Our offspring... (as told by Onion). Okay, let it be officially known that pygmy goat kids are the most adorable, most scrumptious baby animals that exist - we have seen grown men (and women) go totally slushy when they get the chance to cuddle a one-day old kid. Aaaaaahhh!!

  • The big day draws near: we are never quite sure when the big day is going to be - anything from 145 days after we mated to 155. By this stage we are feeling heavy, tired and wanting to be on our own.

We may start to decide where we want to give birth but then often by the time we are ready we have changed our minds.

My first birth was in the middle of the night and my owners just came into the barn the next morning to find me and little Pepper all sorted and dry!!

If our owners are around, and usually they like to be, they get the pleasure of hearing us fill the air with our screams as we go into labour - yes, it jolly well hurts!!!
