Day Fourteen: 28th March: The kittens are exactly two weeks old now and are much more aware of their surroundings. If mum (or Crumpet) wanders by they start moving and even leave the nest: the presence of mum means milk of course and at the moment they are still totally dependent on drinking Waffle's milk at least once a day. They have begun to chew the straw a little and now they can really see, they are starting to enjoy a bit of exploring! The nest still provides warnth and security however and as mum comes to the nest to feed them, they don't ever want to be too far away from it.
