Day Eighteen: 1st April - Rather a surprise today as all TEN kittens were found sharing the same nest and even more surprising was that it was Waffle's nest, even though, as the less dominant rabbit, we might have thought it would be the other way round. What seems more likely however, is that they all headed there as Waffle's nest is under a wooden ramp and so more protected from the cold, as well as being a little quieter. Crumpet's nest is in fact no longer a nest but just a dip on the straw. With all ten kittens snuggled up together, none of them should get cold at all. We wonder how this will now work with feeding the kittens - maybe the kittens will drink from whoever they can, although if Crumpet does not go near the nest, they may not get a chance to drink from her. Interestingly, it looks as though if they are about and about the kittens WILL try to get milk from either mum. Watch what happens to the brown kitten towards the end of the video...
